This is the best homemade Italian beef you’ll ever have. It comes out perfectly from the corckpot and is very delicious.

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Beef Chuck Roast
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 16 oz Pepperoncini
  • 8 Hamburger Buns
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 Tbsp White or Coconut Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Dried Thyme
  • 1 tsp Dried Basil
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Parsley
  • 1/4 tsp Celery Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Sea Salt

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic salt, onion powder, sugar, oregano, pepper, thyme, basil, parsley, celery salt and regular salt

  2. Place the roast into a slow cooker, and season with mixed spices. Pour water around, but not over the roast.

  3. Cover, and cook on High for 6 to 7 hours. During the last hour, shred the meat with two forks - if it does not shred easily, cook longer. Add the peppers, and as much of the juice as you like for additional flavor. Serve on buns.
